STUFFED FRENCHED BONE-IN CHOP

Ingredients:
- 4 Premium Reserve Pork® Frenched Bone-In Pork Chop (stuffed)
- Stuffing Recipe: (4 chops)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 thick-cut chops, cut a pocket for stuffing
- 3 cups day-old bread (French baguette)
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp celery, chopped
- 2 Tbsp onion, chopped
- 3 Tbsp apple, Granny Smith, chopped
Preparation:
OVEN
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet, heat oil on medium-high heat, add the chops and brown on each side. Place the chops in a baking dish. Using the same skillet, add butter, celery, onion and apple. Sauté until softened. In a bowl, add the bread, celery mixture and chicken broth. Put heaping mounds of stuffing mixture into the chops.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and continue baking for 10 minutes longer or until juices run clear. The meat thermometer should read 155°F.
