Ingredients: ; 1 pack Recipe Essentials Sesame Soy Ginger Ground Sausage; 8 oz. shiitake mushrooms, sliced; ½ cup of scallions, sliced on the bias; 1 bag of Slaw mix; Boston lettuce leaves or Romaine Lettuce; Hoisin Sauce (drizzle on finished wrap); 1 Tbsp. soy sauce; 1 tsp. sesame oil; 1 Tbsp. olive oil; Crushed red pepper, to taste;

Ground Sausage Mu Shu Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

1 pack Recipe Essentials Sesame Soy Ginger Ground Sausage
8 oz. shiitake mushrooms, sliced
½ cup of scallions, sliced on the bias
1 bag of Slaw mix
Boston lettuce leaves or Romaine Lettuce
Hoisin Sauce (drizzle on finished wrap)
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 Tbsp. olive oil
Crushed red pepper, to taste

Preparation:

In a large sauté pan, heat 1 teaspoon of sesame oil over medium heat.
Add in the Sesame Soy Ginger Ground Sausage. While cooking, break apart the ground sausage using a utensil. Cook until brown, and no longer pink (10-12 minutes). Once cooked, remove from pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the olive oil, mushrooms and scallions. Cook until tender;.
Add the slaw mix, cook until slightly wilted.
Return the cooked ground sausage to the pan; stir in the soy sauce and crushed red pepper. Serve on lettuce leaves and drizzle with hoisin sauce.
