8 slices Hatfield® Extra Thick Cut Maple Brown Sugar Bacon
1.5 lb ground beef
4 hamburger rolls
2 tsp Montreal seasoning
4 slices cheddar cheese
2 cups onions, sliced
2 tsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter
12 fl oz beer, preferably lager
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375°F .
Arrange bacon on a cookie tray with slices just touching each other. Cook for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain.
In sauté pan over medium to high heat, melt butter and add onions. Cook for 10 minutes.
Add beer and sugar to pan. Cook for 10 minutes, until the beer is cooked out and absorbed into onions.
In a small bowl, mix ground beef and seasoning. Form 4-6 oz patties.
Preheat grill to medium to high heat.
Cook burgers to desired temperature. Add cheese for last few minutes.
Arrange burger, bacon, onions, and serve on your favorite roll.
