ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND CHEESE DIP

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Recipe Essentials® Hatfield® Hot or Sweet Italian Sausage
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 (10oz) can diced tomatoes with oregano and basil
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. crushed red pepper
- 16 oz. shredded mozzarella
- Fresh basil, chopped for garnish
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a sauté pan, cook the sausage over medium high heat until brown and cooked through.
- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, tomatoes, garlic, crushed red pepper and half the mozzarella along with the cooked sausage.
- Once combined, place in a baking dish, top with the remaining mozzarella and bake for 20 minutes until brown and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top garnish with chopped basil.
- Serve with crostini’s, crackers or sliced baguette.
