Place a medium skillet on medium heat. Spray with cooking spray. Place ham steak halves in the pan and heat for 3 minutes on each side or heat leftover ham for 4-6 minutes until heat through. Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place sliced multigrain bread or brioche roll on a cutting board, spread fig jam on the bottom, next place ham, then cheese, add additional jam to the top of the roll and place in the oven for 8 minutes until cheese melts. Serve open faced or as a hand-held sandwich with your favorite side.
